We at Chemical Marketing & Economics (CME) are delighted to invite you to a Luncheon and Gala Reception honoring Arkema Inc. CEO Anthony O’Donovan, recipient of the CME STEM Leadership Award for Corporate Reinvention and commemorating CME’s 71st Anniversary. The event will be held in mid-town New York City on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

This prestigious award has recognized transformative leaders including Jim Fitterling, Martin Brudermüller, Ed Breen, Henry Kravis, Daniel D’Aniello, James & Marilyn Simons, Jon M. Huntsman, Sr., Roy Vagelos, and seven Nobel Laureates.

Celebrating today’s trailblazers and empowering tomorrow’s visionaries—this is the enduring mission of CME, a forward-thinking nonprofit committed to advancing diverse talent and leadership in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). CME champions sustainable innovation across energy, materials, and life sciences.

Anthony O’Donovan – Corporate Reinvention

A champion of decarbonization and high-performance technologies, Dr. Anthony O’Donovan leads Arkema Inc. as President and CEO, inspiring a global push for sustainable innovation in specialty materials. Under his visionary leadership, Arkema’s award-winning innovation team has commercialized groundbreaking products, revolutionizing e-mobility, adhesives, and coatings, and delivering transformative impact across multiple industries. With a distinguished career spanning roles as Global Supply Chain Director for Fluorochemicals and Regional Group President for the Americas Fluorochemicals business at Arkema, alongside leadership positions at Degussa Specialty Chemicals in South Africa and FMC in Canada and the U.S., he brings unparalleled expertise in chemical engineering. As a board member of the American Chemistry Council and Chair of Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) America, Dr. O’Donovan passionately advances STEM excellence. He holds a Bachelor’s degree and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cape Town, South Africa, and resides with his family in Pennsylvania.

  • Sustained disruption of talks or of the event
  • Comments using demeaning, derogatory, or discriminatory language
  • Deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, or harassing photography or recording
  • Inappropriate physical contact
  • Unwelcome sexual attention
  • Other actions determined by the members of the Executive Committee or security personnel

Organizers will enforce this code throughout the event and will not hesitate to remove anyone who is not conforming to the code without the option for a refund or compensation.
