Abstract

The persistent pricing decline in commodities took Latin America, once the darling of investors, to stock market index lows last year. Even the Pacific Alliance driven by trade dynamics, business friendliness, and strong reserves (in Chile and Peru) was impacted. Brazil and Argentina went through a tumultuous economic backdrop and scandals that discomfited political and business leaders alike. However, a number of Latin American stock markets have shown explosive growth in 2016. Are the economic environment and political reforms compelling enough to bring back the enthusiasm for this region?

Moderated by CME Host George Rodriguez, May 5, or Cinco de Mayo, is your opportunity to hear the insights of experts about the challenges and opportunities in this exciting region.
