Christina (Chris) Bodurow, Ph.D., is currently Senior Vice President of Project Management at the Indiana Biosciences Research Institute (IBRI) in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is the 2026 American Chemical Society (ACS) President-elect, serving as ACS President in 2027.
With over 40 years in chemistry, Bodurow earned her BA from Kalamazoo College (1979) and PhD in organic chemistry from Princeton University (1984). Her career includes more than three decades at Eli Lilly and Company (1984–2017), retiring as Senior Director of Medicines Development Unit External Sourcing. She later held roles as Vice President of Global Regulatory Affairs and Strategic Operations at IQVIA (2019–2022) and Deputy Director/Chief Operating Officer of the AViDD/SyneRx NIH grant at Stanford University School of Medicine.
A dedicated ACS member since 1981, she served as District II Director on the Board (2017–2022), chaired multiple committees, and led the host committee for the 2013 ACS National Meeting in Indianapolis. An ACS Fellow (2014) and recipient of the 2001 ACS Award for Encouraging Women into Careers in the Chemical Sciences, Bodurow champions interdisciplinary collaboration, industry engagement, and promoting chemistry through the arts. Her vision focuses on connecting science, members, and the public to tackle global challenges.
She also serves on the boards of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra and Kalamazoo College Trustees.
