Franco Meropiali, Head of Recycling Business at Versalis, brings 30 years of expertise in the chemical industry and a strong international perspective. After earning a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Bocconi University in Milan, he joined EniChem in 1995. Over his career, Franco has held several leadership roles, including Head of Polymers Business at Versalis, Head of International Business Development and Licensing from 2016 to 2021, and Vice President of Corporate Planning and Control for eight years. He has also served on several boards, such as the Steering Board of Plastics Europe and, until February 2025, as Chairman of Eni Insurance Dac in Dublin. Franco’s extensive experience in management, business development, and licensing has established him as a pivotal figure in driving innovation and growth in the chemical sector. He continues to contribute to Versalis’s success as part of Italy’s leading chemical company owned by Eni.
