Dr. Heather Mirletz is a researcher at the National Renewable Energy Lab (NREL). She earned her PhD in 2023 from the Colorado School of Mines focusing on quantifying the mass, energy, and carbon impacts of Circular Economy choices for PV in the context of energy transition, with a lens of reliability. Her prior experience includes TCO degradation, CIGS manufacturing, and RF device manufacturing for satellites. Heather is deeply grateful to the many women who have mentored her throughout her career.
