Pathways Toward Sustainability: A Road Map for the Global Chemicals Industry
There is urgency to decarbonize the chemical building blocks, with chemical demand expected to double over the next 30 years. To help make this future a reality for the chemicals industry, Deloitte is collaborating with the Princeton’s Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment, powered by data from Chemical Market Analytics, Dow Jones Company, to collect facts, model chemicals emissions implications, and define the lower emissions problem for the 10 Chemical Building Blocks and their feedstocks across the value chains.

Pressure continues to build for companies across industries to track, report, and reduce Scope 3 emissions. And, while chemical companies continue to make efforts to increase transparency and reduce emissions, Scope 3 emissions remain notoriously difficult to track and reduce because they require collaboration, coordination, and standardization along each product’s entire supply chain. This presentation will share what strategies chemical companies can employ today to secure a competitive advantage around low-carbon products tomorrow.
