Shirin O’Connor joined Air Products in September 2020 as vice president, Global Engineering, Global Procurement, and Quality/Continuous Improvement. She is responsible for the seamless alignment of the company’s global Engineering and Procurement teams, as well as its quality and continuous improvement programs in driving high performance execution.

Since joining Air Products, Ms. O’Connor has taken on additional leadership roles for EMEA and India EPC execution and global GEMTE automation, as well as establishing the global modularization and renewable center of excellence organization in response to Air Products’ ongoing portfolio growth.

Ms. O’Connor brings more than 29 years of engineering, procurement, and construction experience from the Fluor Corporation, where she previously served as vice president of Projects and regional director of Engineering for the Americas where she led the transformation of engineering execution and talent management. Throughout her career, Ms. O’Connor has led all aspects of EPC for capital projects, including fabrication, and has held strategic planning and commercial roles serving customers in the biotechnology, chemical, mining, and energy industries.

Ms. O’Connor holds a BS degree in electrical engineering from Clemson University and an MS degree in electrical engineering from the University of South Carolina. She is a member of the board of directors of MYR Group Inc., a publicly owned company, serving on the Governance and Compensation Committee.
