For over 30 years, the National Chemistry Week has been organized as a community-based program to join schools, businesses, local chapters, to bring awareness about how chemistry plays a critical role in our lives. Chemical Marketing & Economics (CME) is proud to be a sponsor and media partner of the National Chemistry Week (October 19–25, 2025), themed “The Hidden Life of Spices.”

The ACS Peru Chapter typically launches National Chemistry Week between October 19 and 25, aligning with the global theme—such as “The Hidden Life of Spices.” They also collaborate with Concytec to host Perú Conciencia, the country’s largest science fair, which draws tens of thousands of students and families. The event features interactive demos, engaging talks, and hands-on experiments tailored for children, held at convention centers across various regions. Imagine a vibrant Eureka-style fair filled with student projects, live demonstrations, and immersive STEM activities for all ages.

ACS Peru Chapter celebrates National Chemistry Week | October 19-25 in Lima | and Unites with Concytec for Perú Conciencia Science Fair | November 6–8 in Tarapoto, Peru

Sponsored by Chemical Marketing & Economics (CME) of Morristown, NJ, the ACS Peru Chapter is proud to launch its annual celebration of National Chemistry Week (NCW) from October 19 to 25 in Lima, Peru, aligning with the global theme “The Hidden Life of Spices.” This vibrant initiative brings chemistry to life through hands-on activities, student-led experiments, and community engagement across schools and public venues.

In a powerful collaboration with Concytec, Peru’s national science and technology council, ACS Peru will co-host Perú Conciencia—the country’s largest science fair—on November 6–8 at the Chacarita Versalles Sports Center in Tarapoto, Department of San Martín. The event is expected to attract tens of thousands of students, educators, and families from across the region.

Perú Conciencia offers a dynamic, Eureka-style experience featuring student projects, interactive demonstrations, engaging talks, and kid-friendly experiments. Convention centers and public spaces transform into hubs of discovery, where science becomes accessible, fun, and inspiring for all ages.

“These events—proudly supported in part by CME—demonstrate the power of chemistry to unite communities and ignite curiosity,” said Fiorella Olivera, Chair of the ACS Peru Chapter. “With ACS Peru’s leadership and Concytec’s national reach, this celebration stands as a model for impactful STEM engagement across Latin America.”
