Bio – Dr. Anne Shim is BD Senior Director CCMC Research & Development since January 2022. Previously, she was BASF Head of Advanced Materials and Systems Research, NA, where she led a cross-functional group including teams in Formulations, Monomer and Polymer research, Pilot plant, and Analytical. Anne joined BASF in 2013. She created a seamless virtual technical team consisting of groups in Mexico, India, and the US. She holds a PhD in Polymer Science from the University of Akron, Ohio, and a Master of Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark.

Abstract Body: To meet the critical life sciences needs of our customers including syringes, catheter care, and maintenance, BD (Becton Dickinson), a leading global medical technology company, is constantly developing novel devices based on new materials and enhancing existing materials.
