Cicely Shillingford, PhD, is the 2020 CME STEM Young Leader.

Cicely is Formulation Scientist at Ro. Her doctoral dissertation was on Advances in the Capillary Assembly of Colloids, NYU Chemistry Department, Materials Research Science and Engineering Center, and Molecular Design Institute. Outstanding CME student volunteer since 2016.

She has been an active CME volunteer and gave the opening remarks at the CME STEM Leadership Awards™ of December 5, 2017. Cicely was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow working at the Weck Research Group at NYU’s Molecular Design Institute. Her research focused on materials chemistry, specifically the synthesis and assembly of complex colloidal architectures.
