In the private investment universe where dynamic vision, trustworthiness and performance are paramount, Mr. D’Aniello is the proud Co-Founder and Chairman Emeritus of The Carlyle Group. Founded in 1987, Carlyle has grown into one of the world’s largest and most successful private investment firms, serving investors in 94 countries. Prior to forming Carlyle, Mr. D’Aniello served at Marriott, PepsiCo Inc. and TWA. He earned a bachelor’s degree in transportation economics from the Martin Whitman School of Management and an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1974. He served in the United States Navy from 1969 through 1971 during which he was a supply officer aboard the USS Wasp (CVS 18). Mr. D’Aniello is Chairman of the American Enterprise Institute, Co-Chairman of the Institute for Veterans and Military Families, Chairman of the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, and a Lifetime Board Trustee of Syracuse University.
