Mike Lacey was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He received his B.S. degree in Chemistry from Texas A&M University and a Ph.D. from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where he met his wife and fellow chemist. Following graduate school, Mike joined ExxonMobil where he worked for 20 years in a variety of technical and commercial roles living in the U.S., Brazil, and Singapore. In January 2022, he joined Tricon Energy in Houston to launch its new Sustainable Products business line. Mike and Alechia have 4 children who keep them busy when not at work.
