Renzo Merino is Vice-President – Senior Analyst, Sovereign Risk Group at Moody’s Investors Service. He follows the sovereign and supranational credits of countries in Latin America as well as the Inter-American Development Bank, the Inter-American Investment Corporation. In 2022 he covers: Colombia, Mexico, Panama and Uruguay. He has covered sovereigns in the United States, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, South Africa, Brazil, Peru, and Venezuela. Merino helped develop the Rating Methodology for development banks and entities. He was a Country Risk Analyst for Latin America at Business Monitor International (BMI). He holds an MA in Economics from NYU and a BA in Economics from UPenn. He did post-baccalaureate studies at Columbia University.
